Habanero Hot Sauce Recipe

Recipe for Habanero Pepper Sauce

Habanero hot sauce recipeHot sauce is hot but habanero hot sauce is hotter. When you want a hot sauce that is fiery and may make your eyes water, a habanero hot sauce recipe is the only way to go. As you may have guessed, a habanero hot sauce recipe includes habanero peppers. Along with the peppers, the sauce has garlic, carrot for body, onion, vinegar, and sugar for balance and depth of flavor. Many only associate habaneros with heat but they offer much more. They have serious flavor. The orange-hued hot peppers are fruity. In fact, they are surprisingly citrusy and that citrusy taste creates an outstanding hot sauce. The history of the sauce itself is anyone’s guess but habanero peppers were discovered in the West Indies by the Spanish. Fast forward many years and many locations around the world, the habanero traveled to Cuba where it was named after the city La Habana or Havana. Somewhere between the peppers first being discovered and now, the first habanero sauce recipe was made and many adaptations came after.
